We are the oldest and largest Physiotherapy clinic in the area. We first opened our doors in 1996 in the storage room of the Kemptville Medical Centre, with one physiotherapist and two beds - patients had to exercise in the hallway! Since that time we have continued to grow, and with our recent renovation and expansion we now play host to 8 Physiotherapists, 4 Massage Therapists, and a team of 6 Front Staff. Our focus has always been and will continue to be to deliver the highest quality of patient care in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
We feel it is important to exceed our client's expectations when it comes to their experience at Kemptville Physiotherapy Centre.
This means more one-on-one time between the client and their Therapist, an individualized approach to assessment and treatment, and a relaxed, fun atmosphere. We enjoy what we do, and we want this attitude to rub off on our clients!
We love our community, and feel that it is important for us to be a friendly, familiar face in Kemptville. We love to support other local businesses and events.
We believe that Physio is more than just fixing an injury; we want to empower our clients. Our therapists share their knowledge so that you have a better understanding of your recovery process as well as prevention education so that you can continue to do the things that want to be able to do. We look forward to meeting you!
No one knows your body better than you. It is our job to listen, and tailor our treatment to your goals, and exceed your expectations. Our Registered Massage Therapists will take the time to get to know you and give you the confidence that your body will be taken care of. We know that you’ve taken time out of your schedule to take care of your body, whether it be a new injury, or simply preventative maintenance, and our therapists are just as dedicated.
Recovering from a concussion can be an incredibly overwhelming, and frustrating process. These days it seems like there is an endless stream of information and opinions for this type of injury, but not enough consistent guidance on what to do. Should you sit in a dark room? Should you completely rest and not look at any screens? Should you venture outdoors? We understand your frustration, and your fears. We love educating our patients, and believe in its important role in concussion recovery.
We are so excited to tell you about our Pelvic Health Program. This program starts with our Physiotherapist Christine who has post-graduate training in this small but very important area of our body: the "pelvic floor muscles".
Osteoporosis can affect young people too! You might think that words like fragile, or brittle are not necessarily terms that pair well with exercise. But you’d be wrong! Exercise can be very important in slowing the progression! Working on strength, movement and balance can reduce the risk of falls and fractures, and even help to make your bones stronger. ⠀⠀
Whether you are just learning to run or have made that goal to run a marathon, a running assessment is a really great place to start. What you can expect is support on footwear, training schedules and of course expertise on what type of running style, cadence and pace you should be aiming for. If you’re looking for some help to get started or have a running injury, we can help!
If you’ve ever experienced vertigo symptoms you will be ecstatic to hear that we have therapists specialized in Vestibular Rehab to help assess and treat these symptoms. Put simply there are crystals in your ear that have travelled to an area they don’t belong. With specific maneuvers we can help to move them back to where they belong and reduce your symptoms related to vertigo.
